This is a truly unique experience! It feels like the most fancy place. Every time we go, I feel as though I've stepped into the pages of a Victorian romance. Beautiful antique decorations, mirrors and collectables adorn every surface. It is visually engaging and stimulating without feeling "cluttered". Soft music allows for conversations. The small town location means neighbors are often greeting each other over a delicious, beautifully presented cocktail, pannini sandwich, charcuterie board or exquisite dessert. Casual attire or the most glamorous outfit will all fit in, here. This is definitely one of those rare, hidden treasures that await the adventure-seeker. This is not a place to go to rush in and rush out. It is a destination all on its own. Martini, old fashioned, lemon-drop, mules, such a wide variety of specialty cocktails, all delicious and all uniquely presented.

What a special place! My group of 3 arrived right at 11A on Saturday and it filled up fast. The aesthetics, music, food, and vibes are amazing. To have such a beautiful spot in a small Iowa town adds to the never ending charm. We are excited to come back

Went here to brunch with some friends and it was amazing. I did not know what to fully expect but I was happily surprised when I was greeted with smiles and the best Bloody Mary I’ve had in a long time! Along with the cozy and relaxing atmosphere it was amazing! I tried their cheesy toast with bacon and it nothing short of amazing!

Holy buckets! As soon as you walk in the door you feel transported to a different time and place. The aesthetics and atmosphere are incredible! I think I sat there for the first 5 mins with my jaw dropped. We were fortunate to have Cyndi, the owner, sit down with our group and chat with us. Her bubbly personality was so welcoming and you could really feel how passionate she is about Juniper & Olive. Delicious food, creative drinks, great music, and a fun time! The entire experience is almost magical. Don’t wait to check this cafe out! :)

We stopped for lunch during the Central Iowa Junk Jaunt. Both the egg salad on toast and chicken salad on toast were excellent. Friendly folks working here. Fun and interesting decor. Definitely worth stopping in.

Fun, classical Parisienne atmosphere! Light but quality food selection of sandwiches and charcuterie. Plenty of drink options. In the town of Jewell, full of life and businesses making a positive impact in the community, J&O is the crown!

Honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. From the moment you enter to the moment you leave you’re in a gorgeous place that is super welcoming and refreshing. The owner is the cutest thing alive and very chatty and energetic. She’s caring and so helpful through the whole time, it’s even worth visiting just to chat with her - her good energy is just contagious. The drinks, decor, and food is all artistically beautiful and tasteful. Perfect spot for meeting with friends, book club, or even a spot to get out of the house. Paninis, charcuterie boards, coffee, cocktails; you name it they have it. Also nice to start here then go shopping around town.

From the moment you walk on the door of Juniper and Olive you will feel like the only person there! The welcoming personality of the little cafe/shop is one it its own. The owner will will greet you and talk to you as if she has known you for her entire life, you know, kind of like the small town kids that everyone knows. The drink list is very well laid out and has excellent descriptions of the drinks. Her paninis are top notch! I can honestly say I have never had a panini as delicious, wholesome and perfectly baked as these were. I would recommend the pepper panini with bacon! Of course we had to "clink clink" our drinks because as Cyndi says, life is a party darling. Do yourself a favor and visit this place! Make sure to check out all of her decor including the glass kitty that sits up on the shelf as you go towards the bathroom!!
